Gwen Bowen

Gwen Bowen, Founder and Principal

Gwen is the principal of Bowen & Co Solicitors. The firm was established in April 2005 in the town of Sixmilebridge, County Clare.

Gwen attended UCC and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Civil Law Degree in 1991 and qualified as a solicitor through Blackhall Place in 1994.  Before setting up in Sixmilebridge in 2005 Gwen practiced both in Waterford and Limerick City and headed up the Probate Department of a large firm in Limerick City for a number of years.

Gwen undertook a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning in April 2004 and has a huge interest in the area of Trust and Estate Planning and Probate disputes.  She also qualified as a mediator through the Mediation Institute in 2007.

Gwen has lectured in the Limerick Institute of Technology and, over the past 15 years,  in the Law Society of Ireland and she regularly conferences on the area of end-of-life issues and succession.

Since opening, the firm has developed into a thriving general practice with its core emphasis on personal injuries’ litigation, purchase and sale of property, and Wills to include administration of Estates and dealing with Probate disputes.

Gwen would see Bowen & Co as being a hands-on practice with a personal service where communication is open. She would see herself as taking a pragmatic and practical approach to resolution of disputes but with the necessary knowledge to fully litigate or defend her clients’ position where compromise is not an option.
